Our first visit to a ‘hidden ‘ tea shop tucked away in a tiny alleyway

The owner of the tea shop – has been making tea all his life and supplies tea to all the business around – carried on a tray

Our Breakfast

Enjoying tea, simet, (type of bread) and pastrami

Breakfast or any other meal – Kaymak clotted cream made from milk of water buffalo with honey on top!

On the Asian side of Istanbul we ate mussels in their shells, stuffed with cinnamon, raisins and rice.

This little place makes and serves ‘Turkish’ coffee, you must indicate if you want it “lightly medium or full sugar for sweetness and you must stop drinking it when you get to the ground coffee. They will even supply a ‘fortune teller’ to turn your cup upside down on its saucer and tell your fortune!
